IIT Kanpur is currently accepting final-round applications for admission to the e-Masters in Cyber Security. This program aims to cultivate the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, providing training by industry experts to combat the evolving threats of cybercrime. The application deadline for the program is November 3, 2023.
Admission to the program is based on academic and professional backgrounds, with screening conducted through tests and interviews. Notably, GATE scores are not required for admission.
The course, launched in response to the increasing number of cyber attacks, offers online education to equip candidates with the latest tools, technologies, and concepts in the field. Modules in the course cover a range of topics, including Introduction to Cryptography, Operating System Principles, Computer Networking, Application Security, Mobile Security, and more. The program, totaling ₹8 lakh in fees, will be delivered through AI-powered systems, featuring live interactive classes based on faculty availability.
Eligibility criteria include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks or a 5.5/10 CPI. Candidates with at least two years of work experience in the relevant field and coding knowledge will be given preference. An application fee of ₹1,500 is applicable during the registration process.
