Delhi schools to reopen tomorrow? Details here

As per the orders of DoE, Delhi schools were ordered to be closed on July 17 and July 18, 2023. However, after witnessing a slight rise in the Yamuna water, there is a possibility that schools will be closed on Wednesday as well. Check here for more updates.

Minor rainfall in parts of Delhi resulted in a slight increase in the water level of the Yamuna river, following a continuous decline. Consequently, the Directorate of Education (DoE) instructed the closure of schools located in the Yamuna bordering areas on July 17 and 18, 2023.

With the recent rise in water levels observed on Monday, there is a chance that schools might also remain closed on July 19, 2023. However, no official confirmation has been issued by the authorities. Students are advised to stay informed or await official communication from their respective schools.

Official Notice:

Due to the ongoing operation of flood relief camps in schools situated in the affected districts (East, North East, North West-A, North, Central, and South East), all schools, both government and private, in these districts will be closed for students on July 17 and 18.

As stated in the notice, school administrators in these districts have the discretion to conduct classes in physical or hybrid mode (online or offline), based on the convenience of their students. It is mandatory for them to inform parents well in advance about their decision. The DoE has further announced that normal school operations will resume in all districts starting from Wednesday.
