The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has unveiled a new online postgraduate degree program titled ‘Business Leadership in the Digital Age.’ This course aims to aid businesses in adapting to the digital era and equip professionals with specialized leadership skills. Applications for the program are currently open on the institute’s official website, with the application deadline set for October 31, 2023. The application fee is ₹1,500.
This program, developed by IIT Kanpur’s Department of Economic Sciences, provides a comprehensive understanding of contemporary business dynamics. It caters to executives and does not require applicants to have a GATE score. The course will be conducted by IIT Kanpur’s faculty, known for their blend of academic expertise and industry experience. With live interactive classes scheduled exclusively on weekends and a self-paced study option, it offers flexibility and can be completed in one to three years.
The curriculum of this new program is structured around 60 credits, including three core modules, ten technology-focused modules, and a capstone project. Participants in the program will have access to IIT Kanpur’s placement cell, incubation cell, and alumni network, enhancing their career prospects and providing valuable networking opportunities.
**Eligibility:**
Applicants should hold either a bachelor’s degree (a 4-year program) or a master’s degree in the relevant field, with a minimum of 55 percent marks or a cumulative grade point index (CPI) of 5.5 out of 10. They must possess at least two years of professional work experience, and current employment is not mandatory for application. Candidates with relevant work experience will be given priority during the selection process.
**Fee Structure:**
The fees are structured as follows:
– Registration fee: To be paid within one week of acceptance – ₹40,000.
– Admission fee: To be paid upon completing the enrollment process – ₹1,60,000.
– Module fee: To be paid at the beginning of each quarter, determined by the number of modules selected (a total of 12 modules) – ₹5,40,000 (Rs 45,000 per module).
– Quarter fee: To be paid at the beginning of each quarter – ₹60,000 (Rs 15,000 per quarter).
