Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad is now accepting applications for MTech and MDes courses under the Research Assistantship through Project (RAP) scheme. Interested and eligible candidates have until October 29, 2023, to register on the institute’s official website.
The institute has established a centralized online application portal for MTech admissions. Those interested are encouraged to visit the official website to access the application format and submission link, as applications will only be received through this portal.
Admissions are available for various BTech courses, including Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. The Design department at IIT Hyderabad offers courses in Design, including a 2-year full-time Master of Design (MDes) program. This program aims to impart a comprehensive understanding of design while allowing students to specialize in Visual Design, Product Design, and Interaction Design.
**Eligibility Criteria:** Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades in their qualifying examination. This includes a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design, Interior Design, or equivalent, a professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT) or an equivalent 4-year program, BFA, or a Master’s degree in Arts, Science, or Computer Applications.
The selection process for MDes is based on the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED). Candidates will be shortlisted for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) based on their CEED score. The final selection process involves a two-step approach, including shortlisting for interviews based on portfolio reviews and DAT exam performance.
