CUET UG 2023 Participating Universities: Central University of Jammu admissions; eligibility, hostels, cut-offs

CUET UG 2023: The Central University of Jammu will take admissions to nine undergraduate courses through CUET.

 

CUET UG 2023:

The Central University of Jammu has announced the commencement of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023, which serves as the gateway for undergraduate admissions. Aspiring candidates who wish to secure admission at the Central University of Jammu must complete the registration process on the official website, cujammu.ac.in.

 

CUET:

Following the introduction of the CUET, the university witnessed a substantial increase in applications for UG programs last year, with approximately 33,939 candidates applying. This year, the university is offering nine courses for undergraduate admissions through CUET UG.

 

Popular Courses:

The university provides a wide range of popular courses, including Integrated BSc (Hons) MSc Botany, Integrated BSc (Hons) MSc Zoology, Integrated BSc (Hons) MSc Chemistry, Integrated BSc (Hons) MSc Physics, Integrated BA/BEd, BVoc (Retail Management), BVoc (Banking and Financial Services), BVoc (Tourism Management), and Integrated BSc (Hons) Economics.

 

Scholarship:

The university offers scholarships for postgraduate (PG), MPhil, and PhD students. These scholarships encompass various categories such as the Post Matric Scholarship for UG/PG Students (NSP), Post Matric Scholarship for SC/OBC/EBC/DNT/Pahari Speaking students from the UT of J&K (Social Welfare), Post Matric Scholarship for students from Bihar, UGC NET JRF scholarship, CSIR NET JRF scholarship, Rajiv Gandhi National fellowship for SC/ST and persons with disabilities, Maulana Azad National fellowship for minority and OBC candidates, ICSSR Post Doctoral fellowship, and more.

 

Hostels:

The Central University of Jammu provides hostel facilities for students, with two hostels dedicated to boys and two for girls. The hostel rooms are equipped with essential amenities and adequate ventilation. Additionally, the university offers mess facilities to cater to the dietary needs of the students.

History:

Established on August 8, 2011, the Central University of Jammu conducted its first academic session in 2011-12, initially offering three PG courses in English, Economics, and Applied Mathematics. The subsequent year witnessed the addition of five more PG courses, further expanding the university’s academic offerings.
