According to the schedule, the first and third semester will begin on September 1
The University of Delhi (DU) has recently issued the academic calendar for postgraduate programs, with the first semester scheduled to start on September 1. Both the first and third semesters will commence on the same date. Classes will continue until December 22, and from December 22 to December 29, 2023, preparatory leaves will be provided. If necessary, practical exams will be conducted during this time. The theory exams for the first and third semesters are set to begin from December 30.
For the second and fourth semesters, classes will begin on January 15. A mid-semester break has been scheduled from March 24 to 31. Classes will conclude on May 12, allowing students time to prepare until May 19. If required, practical exams can be conducted during this period. Theory exams for the second and fourth semesters are slated to start from May 20. Subsequently, summer vacations will be observed from June 2 to July 21, 2024.
The university has also released the academic calendar for undergraduate programs. According to this calendar, classes for the first and third semesters of the new academic year will commence on August 16. Theory exams for these semesters are scheduled to start on December 13.
