Delhi University PG academic calendar released; classes to begin from September 1

According to the schedule, the first and third semester will begin on September 1

The University of Delhi (DU) has published the academic calendar for postgraduate programs, with the first semester set to commence on September 1. As per the schedule, both the first and third semesters will begin on September 1. Classes will be conducted until December 22, followed by preparatory leaves from December 22 to December 29, 2023. During this period, practical exams, if necessary, will also be conducted. The theory exams for the first and third semesters are scheduled to start from December 30.

The second and fourth semesters are slated to commence from January 15. A mid-semester break is planned between March 24 and 31. Classes will conclude on May 12, providing students with time for preparation until May 19, during which practical exams can be conducted if required. Theory exams for the second and fourth semesters will begin from May 20. Subsequently, summer vacations will be observed from June 2 to July 21, 2024.

Additionally, the university has recently released the academic calendar for undergraduate programs, specifying that classes for the new academic year for the first and third semesters will commence from August 16. The theory exams for these semesters are scheduled to begin on December 13.
