IGNOU to offer Post Graduate Diploma In Environmental Studies programme; check details

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced the Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies program starting from the July 2023 session. The university recognizes the need to address the environmental challenges caused by human activities and aims to develop a knowledgeable workforce in various areas including climate change, pollution, waste management, sanitation, biodiversity conservation, resource management, forest and wildlife conservation, and sustainable development.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Studies program aims to create awareness about a wide range of environmental concerns. It provides a lateral entry opportunity for students with an MA in Environmental Studies and promotes the concept of “Lifestyle for the Environment (LIFE).” Upon completion of the program, learners will be equipped to play significant roles in addressing environmental and sustainability issues in India and globally.
