IIM Rohtak welcomes new batch with 78% women students

The gender diversity in the new batch breaks IIM Rohtak’s own record of 69 percent female representation, which was established last year

 

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak, recently commenced the 14th batch of its flagship Post-Graduate Programme (MBA). Notably, an impressive 78 percent of the new batch consists of women, surpassing the institute’s previous record of 69 percent female representation set last year. The batch comprises highly accomplished individuals, including national-level medalists in Swimming and Karate, representing 24 states and union territories. An induction ceremony was conducted on July 1 and 2 to warmly welcome and familiarize the new batch. Distinguished personalities, including Kamal Kishore (Member Secretary of the National Disaster Management Authority), Sameer (a Guinness World Record Holder for songwriting), and retired Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain (a recipient of multiple prestigious awards), graced the ceremony. Prof. Dheeraj Sharma, the chairperson of the event, extended a heartfelt welcome to the esteemed guests and students.
